"As the days get closer I felt it was time to prepare this blog for my younger brother who will take over once I leave on my mission. I have a couple months left and I just wish they would go by sooner."
I've found my twin in the mission, a big sister, and another younger mother, and now, I've found a big brother, who stands firm in the Gospel. It made me smile last week when he found out I was a little sick and not taking care of myself and he made sure to let me know that I needed to quit being hard-headed and take a step back to take care of myself.
"Elder Posadas and I, in particular, have gotten extremely close. He's like the twin brother I never had: same hobbies, same style, same problems, same worries, and for goodness sake, we even sit the same. He's a swimmer who loves music, and Filipino city boy, just like me. "
"Wednesday was probably the longest day I've ever lived in my life. Everyone was staring at me through the whole terminal and flight; I think partially because I was wearing a suit and also because I was crying the whole time haha you know me already."
"Anyway we finally made it home, and when I walked in the house to find my slippers, I noticed they were missing and noticed a line of about 14 pairs of shoes, I turned around, and my whole zone was in our apartment and had put together a surprise party for me!"
"Everywhere I go I get made fun of. People hear me talk and ask me if it's a joke and if I'm really Filipino. They call me a disgrace; a mockery of their heritage. They make fun of my accent and no one takes me seriously - not even people in church."
"Saturday was a very special day: Sister Cecilia's baptism and the first time I was able to perform the ordinance. We started out the day by picking her up early and taking her to the Manila Philippines Temple Tour which was great."
"Well, this past week, as the Caloocan Zone, we brought 36 people into the waters of baptism this past Saturday at our Stake Baptism. It was an amazing, amazing experiences."
